Spray Tan – £20

A spray tan is a method of achieving a temporary tan without exposure to the sun or UV rays. It involves applying a fine mist or spray containing a tanning solution to the skin, which then reacts with the outermost layer of the skin to produce a bronzed or tanned appearance.

It’s important to note that a spray tan does not provide any protection from the sun’s UV rays. If you plan to be in the sun, it’s still necessary to use sunscreen to protect your skin. Additionally, spray tans are temporary and typically last for about 5 to 10 days, depending on individual factors such as skin type and how well the tan is maintained. Over time, the color will gradually fade.

The tanning solution used in spray tans typically contains a colorless chemical called Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). When applied to the skin, DHA reacts with amino acids in the dead skin cells on the outermost layer of the epidermis, resulting in a temporary change in skin color. The color change usually develops within a few hours and reaches its peak within 24 to 72 hours after the application.
